Him vs Hormones

Hello there,

So my current dilemma in my relationship is my hormones.
I am completely all over the place. One minute I feel happy and the next I'm irritated by the smallest thing.

I feel like this is causing a bit of an issue between me and my boyfriend Nicholas.
I tend to get really annoyed with him very quickly and become a bitch.
Hopefully this phase will pass and won't affect us too much.

Any mums out there going through the same thing?

Gender Verdict...

So on Friday me and Nicholas went to the doctors to find out if our bubba was a boy or girl.....
And our little nugget is a

BOY!

I'm so happy it's a boy I complete forgot about wanting a girl in the first place.
We got to see his little face, his lips, feet, little toes. It was the most amazing experience.
We're now looking to get the 3D / 4D scan so we can have a clearer look at our munchkin.

I guess now it's just a wanting game till he comes out and I can't wait :)

Louisiana Chicken Pasta

So I was reading the Daily Mail today and I came across this article about food calories and saw this dish.

It looked so yummy that I had to look it up. Apparently you can get it from the Cheesecake Factory which isn't available in the UK :(
However I looked up on Google to see if there was a recipe at least and guess what?.... I found one :D
I definitely will be making it at home soon!

Here is all you need:

Total Time: 1hr 45 mins

Ingredients:
tablespoons vegetable oil
6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup parmesan cheese (grated)
cup milk
tablespoons flour

Cajun Sauce:

  • tablespoon butter
  • small yellow pepper (chopped)
  • small red bell pepper (chopped)
  • 3/4 small red onion (chopped)
  • whole garlic cloves (minced)
  • teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 1/4 pints whipping cream
  • cup low sodium chicken broth
  • tablespoons fresh basil (thinly sliced)
  • cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 (12 ounce) package bow tie pasta
  • cup mushroom (sliced)
  • Directions:

    1. 1
Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat.
    2. 2
Add yellow and red bell peppers, mushrooms, and onion to same skillet, until crisp-tender, about 4 minute.
    3. 3
Add garlic and crushed red pepper to skillet and saute 3 minutes.
    4. 4
Add whipping cream and chicken stock.
    5. 5
Simmer until sauce re-heats and thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.
    6. 6
Add basil and 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese to sauce, stirring to incorporate.
    7. 7
Season sauce to taste with salt and pepper. Reduce heat to low, simmer; sauce will reduce and thicken.
    8. 8
      Wash and drain chicken breasts.
    9. 9
Pound until very thin (the thinner the chicken breasts the better).
    10. 10
Mix breadcrumbs, flour, and Parmesan cheese together.
    11. 11
Place milk in dish for dipping.
    12. 12
Dip chicken in breadcrumb mixture and then in milk and then back in breadcrumbs.
    13. 13
Place in fry pan that the oil has been heated and fry at medium high temperature until golden crisp and cooked through.
    14. 14
      Add more oil as needed.
    15. 15
Remove and drain chicken; keep warm.
    16. 16
Meanwhile, cook bow-tie pasta in large pot of boiling salted water until tender but still firm to bite.
    17. 17
      Drain and return to pot.
    18. 18
Add sauce and toss to coat.
    19. 19
Place pasta with sauce on plate, and top with chicken breast.
    20. 20
      Serve, passing additional Parmesan separately.

5 Down, 5 More To Go!

Tuesday 13th January 15  - HALF WAY THERE!

Today I'm officially 5 months pregnant!
I honestly can't believe how fast time has gone. It feels like it was only yesterday that I found out I was pregnant.
I have my gender scan on Friday so I get to see if it's pinks or blues. I am excited don't get me wrong, but at this stage I just feel a tiny bit nervous if baby is ok. I don't have any reasons or problems to worry about him/her,I feel like there's such a gap in between appointments that it creates worry for me. So as soon as the doctor confirms baby is ok then they can go ahead and reveal the gender.

Now, when it comes to the gender I'm almost sure its a boy. But hey I'm no expert. Everyone I know thinks its a boy apart from my boyfriend who thinks we're having a girl. I would really like a girl but I will be happy either way :)

Pregnant Saturday Feeling

Hello everyone,
I woke up this morning with a stich like feeling on my right hand side that hurts everytime I breath in deeply or cough.
Since I'm pregnant I thought to google it to make sure it's nothing bad to do with the baby.
To be honest I just thought it was trapped wind (sorry if it's tmi)
Anyways, Google says it could be my ligaments stretching at the moment so all should be good. It just doesn't help that I have this really annoying itchy congestive couch right now :(

Youtube Life

Heyy,
So in September 2013 I uploaded a video on YouTube. This was on a Kim Kardashian hair tutorial. My plan was to keep up the videos and do different things on there like make up etc...
However as you can  imagine I didn't go through with it. (Lazy me!)
I do think about doing videos now. I bought a camera and everything, so that should mean I'm committed right?
Well anyhow, if you do decide you want to check out the video here's the link:

Thursday's Thoughts

Second post...
My first thought is how hungry I actually am!
Being pregnant does play a big part in that I suppose, however I'm at a stage where as soon as I start eating I get really full very quickly which is really really really annoying cause I do love my food!

Anyway...
My second thought is exactly what I'm doing right now, blogging, writing this whole post when I don't even have anyone following me right now. So technically I'm talking to myself but hey that's not too bad right?

Finally my last thought is,
I'm getting a temporary filling in my tooth later. I wonder how that's gonna go.Just thought to include that here too

First Post

Hello everyone,
thank you for stopping by my page.
This is my first post so I will use this space to briefly introduce myself :)

Name: Jessica Rocha Ribeiro
Age: 20
Location : London
Nationality : Portuguese

This isn't my first blog but I hope its one I can stick to.  I started other blogs based on what everyone else was doing. For example fashion, beauty etc..
However I just couldn't stick to it as I felt like I had to post something instead of wanting to. Instead this time I will blog about anything and everything I feel like to talk about. This is pretty much a blog about me, my life, my problems, my views, my feelings,oh and I'm currently baking something in the oven with my boyfriend due to arrive on the 2nd June 2015 so he/she will be popping up sometimes :)
